The Crackatook Cocktail

MIXOLOGY RECIPE

The Crackatook

A curse from the Mouse Queen turns a princess into the first nutcracker, and can only be lifted by eating the Crackatook nut.

Sip yourself into the origins of the Nutcracker, and try the magical nut in this smoky, hazelnut cocktail. Nutcracker tea-infused rum, with its hazelnut and citrus notes, perfectly complements a smoky maple syrup, for a warming story in front of Drosselmeyer’s clockwork castle.

The Crackatook

Notes from Rob Kharazmi, Mixologist at Four Seasons, Whistler:

“We let the syrup infuse for two to three days in order for it to fully absorb the aroma and flavors of the Nutcracker tea, along with additional hazelnut, vanilla, caramel, cinnamon and orange juice. We found letting the tea infuse in the maple syrup overnight gave us the right amount of astringency balanced with the sweetness.”
